Terry Wynia

Terry Wynia is, before anything else, an absurdist. Possibly a Groucho Marxxist. Do you think anyone taking themselves too seriously could paint a giant blue canvas with a tiny cloud on it? I think being too serious is bad for our health, our souls, and art. The world is too high-strung.

That's why I make art that is calming, colorful, minimal, and meditative. I create art as much for my mental health as for yours. There is enough stress and anxiety in the world. Loose yourself in a field of the richest blue you have ever seen. Enjoy the little clouds hiding in the corners. Need a little more visual information to get lost in? I have the abstracts for that. Work coming from, and for, meditative contemplation.

I have no desire to make grand artistic statements. I am just trying to lower cortisol levels. So join me and bring a little more color and calm into your life. Life is short, the world is beautiful.
